写真を撮らせて頂けますか。
Because Hawaii is a resort place, sometimes you might see a famous person in an unexpected place. At a dinner show, you might want to take a picture of a performer nearby or have a picture taken together with him/ her. If Osamu could speak English well he thinks it would be easier for them to allow him to take a picture with them. When it comes to taking pictures, people often ask strangers for help. If you see someone who looks native or interesting, you an ask to take a picture of them. Most people won't mind. There are some in the tourist industry who will try to make tourists pay for any pictures taken of them. If you see a man with parrots on his shoulder and he wants you to take pictures with them, be sure to ask: "How much do you charge?" or "Do you charge anything?"

ハワイはリゾート地、思わぬ所で思いがけない有名な人に出会うことがあります。また、ディナーショーなどで、お気に入りの出演者の写真を間近で撮ったり、一緒に写真に収まりたいと思うこともあります。英語さえ話せれば、案外、気やすく、写真を撮らせてくれるのでは、と思うのですが・・・

ワイキキで観光客の人達と警察官が仲良く並んで写真を撮っている光景をよく目にします。お金では買えない楽しい思い出になることと思います。思い切って頼んではいかがでしょうか。しかし、誰かにカメラのシャッターを押してもらう場合には、くれぐれも頼む人を選んで下さい。変な人に頼んだところ高価なカメラを持ち去られたという残念なケースも耳にしました。
