At Nacos, when we help students with their projects, we tell our staff, "Don't show off. Just be yourself and project the Nacos relaxed lifestyle." This point is the same for both learning Japanese and English. At the Nagaya, you don't need a key to open the doors of the heart. We are one big family living under one roof. From our neighbor's cough, laugh, or the smells of breakfast and dinner, we can get a feel for the rythms of their lives. Even here at the Nacos homepage, people learning English and people learning Japanese as well as the Nacos staff are all living together and helping each other out. The tenants share of themselves by means of self-portraits and short stories. In this way, we achieve the sharing of Japanese and English. In the midst of the stories overflowing from every life, we will create a communication network in which we can share with our neighbors all the colors of our hearts. |
