Equal
Opportunity and Affirmative Action
NACOS is an equal opportunity institution.
We are committed to a policy of non-discrimination on the basis
of race, color, national origin, sex, physical and mental handicap,
or age in any of its programs, policies, procedures or practices.
This non-discrimination policy covers admission and access to,
participation, treatment and employment in NACOS' programs and
activities. With regard to employment, state and federal laws
further prohibit discrimination on the basis of veteran status,
marital status, religion, ancestry, and arrest and court record.
NACOS recognizes its obligation to provide overall program accessibility
for handicapped persons.
Records
Students are guaranteed the right to
access to their files. Under the Family Right and Privacy Act
of 1974, NACOS is prohibited from releasing school records or
any other information about the student to any third party without
the written consent of the student.
Termination
and Probation Policies
NACOS reserves the right to terminate
any student failing to comply with the policies and guidelines
contained in this book. Students will be informed in writing
of their termination. If the student wishes to be readmitted
to the program, he/she must go to the office and request readmission.
At that time, the student will be interviewed by the instructor
or a member of the staff to determine the conditions of readmission.
A readmitted student to the program, will be given a four week
